Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with extensive experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Personal Lines domain, specifically with a strong focus on Guidewire Claims Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that enhance our claims processing capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in personal lines, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Guidewire Claims Center.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to P&C insurance and Guidewire.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in P&C Personal Lines insurance, with a focus on Guidewire Claims Center.
• Proficient in Java and related technologies.
• Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter configuration and customization.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with other Guidewire products such as PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment strategies.
• Experience with database management systems, particularly SQL.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on insurance applications.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery in the P&C insurance domain.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
