Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with extensive experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Personal Lines domain, specifically with a strong focus on Guidewire Claims Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that enhance our claims processing capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, particularly in personal lines, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Guidewire Claims Center.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to P&C insurance and Guidewire.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in P&C Personal Lines insurance, with a focus on Guidewire Claims Center.
- Proficient in Java and related technologies.
- Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter configuration and customization.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with other Guidewire products such as PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment strategies.
- Experience with database management systems, particularly SQL.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on insurance applications.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in the P&C insurance domain.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
