Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial National Sales Representative to lead sales across the U.S. while maintaining a strong local presence near our Swartz Creek, Michigan facility. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with mechanical aptitude and a passion for delivering customized hole-making and industrial solutions for the metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction, and structural steel industries.
The role also involves collaborating with manufacturer representatives supporting distributors, ensuring consistent strategies and execution across the sales channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share across the U.S.
- Maintain strong relationships with Michigan-based clients and plant operations.
- Partner with rep agencies to support distributors carrying products.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of hole-making solutions and related products.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and ERP systems for reporting, forecasting, and CRM management.
- Prepare detailed sales reports, territory metrics, and client feedback summaries.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from inquiry to delivery.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings nationwide.
Qualifications
- Proven success in territory sales, preferably in the industrial tools or manufacturing market.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of product applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Willingness to travel extensively while maintaining local plant engagement.
- Ability and willingness to travel two weeks a month with overnight travel.
- Residence within commuting distance of Swartz Creek, Michigan.
