Security Officer - Westley - Truck Stop

Pay Rates: $17.00 through up to $18.50 per hour with reimbursements

             **MUST BE ABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS**

Shift (part-time):  
11pm - 7am, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (to start)

This is a walking / standing post/ driving post

Security - Objective:

You are an experienced security officer with open availability.  Shifts are nights, weekends & holidays.  Overtime may also be available.  This is a standing/walking post/ driving post where you will do foot patrols and driving patrols.  You are always polite, professional and courteous. You have your own smartphone & are familiar with common mobile apps. You are always highly visible and follow post orders & client instructions and you like keeping clients and the public safe.

Security - Responsibilities:

• Keep your Guard Card & BSIS training current.
• Follow company policies, post orders and client instructions.
• Be highly visible & do walking/driving patrols of property.
• Prevent trespassing, theft & vandalism.
• Report your activities on smart phone app(s).
• Alert law enforcement when a crime or emergency occurs.
• Work all hours assigned.
• Be polite & professional
• Other tasks as they are assigned.

Security -  Skills Required:
You must stand and walk while on duty. Always be alert and sometimes work during adverse weather conditions. Good verbal & writing communication in English. Be on time and work alone for long periods of time. Good teamwork skills leadership skills to set a good example for others and be promoted.

Security - Requirements:

• Have a valid California Guard Card.
• Valid Driver's License 
• Have reliable transportation.
• Have a working smart phone with mobile data.
• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.

• Most work is performed outside under different weather conditions.

• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and an ability to adjust focus.
