Delta Projects is hiring for a Residential Manager for its Respite program in Wrentham, MA to direct, plan, and coordinate the day-to-day operations of a home to provide high quality services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other life challenges. This position provides strong leadership, support, and supervision to Direct Support Professionals in order to maintain a supportive environment in which individuals can learn and grow.

Delta Projects’ Intensive Respite Program provides emergency short-term care at a respite home for individuals who present significant and recurrent safety risks in their current residential setting. Some of the undesirable behaviors exhibited may include aggression, property destruction, self-injurious assault, signs of severe mental illness and other challenging behaviors that may cause harm to themselves or others. The Intensive Respite Program provides increased staff supervision, intensive clinical supports, structured routines, effective limit-setting and safety and risk management procedures to ensure the stabilization of individuals so they may return to an appropriate residential setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, healthy, and clean home environment and manage all home related administrative and clinical processes and requirements in consultation with the Assistant Director of Residential Supports – Respite Services.
  • Complete all HCSIS and Therap related documentation within established timelines, and monitor staff adherence to Delta Projects’ electronic documentation systems.
  • In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Residential Supports – Respite Services, ensure that proper procedures for referral, admission and discharge are implemented.
  • Collaboratively interface with the clinician in development and implementation of Behavior Support Plans and ensure all data related to individuals supported is collected and recorded as outlined in their ISP, clinical plans, and health plans.
  • Ensure all physical and behavioral health appointments are scheduled, attended, up-to-date and comprehensive, and that all health-related regimens are documented and in effect. Facilitate staff meetings and foster a team-oriented environment.
  • Manage performance of staff inclusive of hiring, supervision, formal evaluations, identification of training needs and staff career path development, and implementation of corrective action plans in accordance with Delta Projects policies and expectations.
  • Ensure appropriate expenditure of program funds as outlined in the program fiscal plans.
  • Assist individuals with obtaining all services and entitlements for which they qualify.
  • Maintain professional and effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including parents, guardians, funding source representatives, clinicians, etc.
  • Function in the On-Call schedule rotation, as assigned.
  • Complete business reports including but not limited to petty cash, census, and payroll reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining all individual’s personal funds as appropriate and in accordance with Delta Projects policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; or at least five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in the application of and training in behavioral techniques.
  • Leadership and/or management experience preferred.
  • Current and valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
  • Possess a safe, reliable, registered, insured, and inspected vehicle in order to transport

individuals as needed/required.

  • Able to demonstrate competence in certain areas of training including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, non-violent physical interventions, behavior management, medication administration, and driving.
  • Must be willing to work in excess of 40 hours per week as driven by program needs.
