About Us:
DMEA's service territory is in Southwest Colorado, and we serve approximately 37,000 meters and 30,000 members. We provide affordable, reliable, and safe electric service to members living and working in Montrose and Delta counties. We also provide electric service to a small portion of Gunnison County.
Enterprise Systems Technician
Compensation:
The wage for this full-time non-exempt position is $70,000 - $90,000/annually.
Job Summary:
The Enterprise Systems Technician provides Tier 1 application and systems support for DMEA's NISC iVUE software suite and related enterprise systems. Serving as the primary point of contact for end-user system issues, this role ensures timely troubleshooting, resolution, and user satisfaction. Working closely with the Enterprise Systems Manager, the position supports system initiatives, software releases, integrations, documentation, and user training to enhance system effectiveness and operational efficiency. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and strict adherence to confidentiality standards are essential in handling sensitive member and organizational information.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Management of Information Systems, and Business Administration, or a closely related area of study. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- A minimum of three (3) years of applicable job experience, with at least two (2) years in customer support or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in customer information systems (DMEA uses NISC's iVUE products).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office products or related software required.
Qualifications & Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid US driver's license.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, providing Tier 1 support, troubleshooting assistance, and timely resolution of system and application issues to ensure system performance and user satisfaction.
- Provide technical support for NISC's iVUE software suite and related applications. Coordinate with vendors as needed to resolve system-related issues. DMEA/Elevate reserves the right to change or modify the duties and essential functions of this position at any time.
- Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of iVUE software releases, new features, and system enhancements to ensure compatibility, minimize disruption, and maximize system effectiveness.
- Train end-users on proper system usage, analyze operational needs, and develop training materials and procedural documentation to promote consistent and efficient application of enterprise systems.
Essential Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Frequent standing or sitting for extended periods; frequent walking, depending upon assignment; occasional pushing/pulling; occasional bending, kneeling, squatting and crawling.
- Hand/eye coordination for operation of personal computer; vision for reading and preparing written reports and documents; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications with employees and citizens.
- Requires attention to detail, analyze data and reports, and conduct research.
