Role Description
Delta Modular Construction seeks a motivated, professional, and highly organized Senior Accountant with construction industry experience to join our organization. This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for day-to-day accounting and record keeping activities of four related companies. This position requires the utmost attention to detail, timeliness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and team relations while adhering to the standards set by the Company.
Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
· Oversee the general accounting functions for four related companies including: accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
· Assist with implementing and maintaining process flow procedures and documentation.
· Assist and participate in the month-end closing processes.
· Prepare and submit multi-state sales/use tax returns.
· Assist with software conversions.
· All other duties as assigned by Controller.
Project Accounting:
· Manage ProjectSite administration, process flow and ERP Integration with Viewpoint Spectrum.
· Attend project meetings and answer any questions from project teams or assist their needs related to the accounting department.
· Oversee the updating and reconciliation of costs in ProjectSite to Viewpoint Spectrum.
Accounts Receivable Billings and Collections:
· Prepare, submit and record owner applications for payment on a timely basis.
· Prepare and record miscellaneous billings.
· Prepare intercompany cost allocations/billings.
· Update billing summaries with amounts invoiced and payments received.
General Ledger:
· Prepare journal entries as required for three entities.
· Oversee intercompany GL accounts and individual vendor AP & AR balances.
· Maintain general ledger fixed assets, prepaid and debt schedules.
· Prepare monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
· Monitor and update general ledger cash accounts daily.
· Oversee the reconciliation of checking accounts and record outstanding transactions.
Human Resources:
· Assist in HR administration
· Assist in Benefit Administration
Competencies:
· Possess a proven track record in construction accounting on projects ranging to $10 million
· A team player with demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills and experience in applying those to processes, procedures, and the underlying systems to support them.
· A desire for, and proven experience, in challenging the norms of the industry model to achieve greater efficiency and financial results on projects through improved business management practices.
· Comfort and ability to work autonomously or with minimal guidance.
· Ability to be adaptable to change with a positive and energetic attitude.
· Ability to handle multiple projects and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Qualifications:
· 5 – 8 years of progressive accounting and general ledger experience in a company with $20MM in revenues (required).
· 2 – 4 years of accounting experience in the construction industry (required).
· Experience with multiple legal entities, consolidations, and intercompany transactions is preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
· Intermediate level Excel skills (required).
· Knowledge of Viewpoint Spectrum, Trimble ConstructionOne, ProjectSight, and Traqspera are a plus.
Ability to Commute / Relocate:
· Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)

· Base: $85,000 - $95,000 / based on experience
· Discretionary bonus up to 15%
