Let our craftsmen create the metal products you need.Position Overview: As a member of our sheet metal field crew, you will join a team of skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work. You will put your own skills and knowledge to the test to ensure that the quality production and installation of our finished product is second to none.Duties & Responsibilities:Set and operate fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal, shaping metalPerform inspections of all fabricated pieces to ensure parts meet engineered drawing specificationsUtilize calipers, heights gages, and other measuring equipment as needed to meet drawing specificationsOperate drill presses and hand tools such as drill presses, grinders, orbital sanders, etc.Interpret blueprints and drawings, follow technical guidesTroubleshoot installation issues of fabricated duct systemsEnsure equipment is maintained and serviceableFollow all company and job site safety protocolsOther duties as assigned by managementSkills & Requirements:High school diploma or GEDREQUIRED 2 years of structural assembly experience sheet metal assembly fabricationAbility to work from heights for prolonged periods of timeAbility to walk stairs/climb ladders for prolonged periods of timeAble to read and interpret blueprintsAble to perform basic math functions and use math formulas by solving dimensional problemsMust be capable of performing tasks that frequently require lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, standing, crouching, stooping, and kneeling for prolonged periods of timeAble to lift at least 50 lbs.Skills at using hand tools for riveting and drillingA high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independentlyRequires the ability to use a phone and tablet to input data, such as timecard information, emails, etc.Bilingual (Spanish) a plus for this roleJob Location: 218 East Lathrop Avenue, Savannah, GA 31415Working Environment: Work is typically performed while standing at heights, in varying work locations.Salary: $20/hour, depending on skills & experienceBenefits: Delta Metals has a generous benefits package to include Medical, dental vision, life, long and short-term disability, as well as accident, cancer, and critical illness plans, HSA, 401K, Vacation & sick time, and 6 paid company holidays.It is the policy of Delta Metals, Inc. not to discriminate against any applicant for employment, or any employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, or veteran status.
