Pool Technician (Hotel)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine pool cleaning tasks, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain water clarity and hygiene.
• Conduct regular pool water testing to monitor chemical levels such as pH, chlorine, and alkalinity; adjust chemicals accordingly to ensure safe swimming conditions.
• Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; troubleshoot issues and perform repairs using hand tools and power tools.
• Identify potential mechanical problems early by conducting thorough inspections of pool systems; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Document maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs accurately in logs for compliance and operational tracking.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff alike.
• Assist with emergency response procedures related to pool safety incidents or equipment failures promptly and professionally.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various pool equipment components.
• Experience with pool maintenance techniques including chemical balancing, water testing, and cleaning methods.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with service technician practices related to pool systems and general maintenance procedures.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities clearly. Pay: $18.00 per hour
