What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Delta Lodging Group?
Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, responding to guest
requests in the hotel, and for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens in a continuing effort to
deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
Expected Duties:
• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, and vacuuming
• Change and replenish bed linens, towels, and guest amenities, as needed
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as required by the brand
• Sanitize high-touch areas in rooms according to brand standards and safety standards
• Stock, maintain, and transport housekeeping supply cart daily; this includes placing clean, unused linen/terry on the shelf at the end of each shift
• Dispose of trash and recyclables
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Perform guest turn down (“stayover”) service, as needed
• Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting,
sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding,
storing, and delivering
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area; properly operate and maintain
laundry appliances according to manufacturer’s guideline
• Maintain stock levels
• Remove trash from guest rooms and floors, and take to on-site property dumpster
• Assist with cleaning public areas including but not limited to, elevators, corridors, public
restrooms, fitness center, business center, lobby
• Report maintenance concerns to property maintenance and management as needed
