The Yard Hand operates independently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment to maintain yard operations, support field logistics, and ensure safe equipment handling. This role requires extensive outdoor work in extreme Arctic winter conditions (70% outdoor / 30% indoor) and proficiency in operating heavy equipment, hauling loads, towing equipment and performing routine tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist Equipment Coordinator with yard organization, snow removal, jump-starting equipment, and associated tasks to ensure vehicle and equipment readiness.
- General yard maintenance of grounds and buildings.
- Responsible for yard organization of inventory.
- Support of Light and Heavy Duty Mechanics.
- Loading and delivering materials and equipment
- Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines
- Operate forklifts, loaders, and non-mobile equipment
- Snow removal
- Perform equipment Check-in / Check-out inspections.
- Retrieve broken down vehicles with a tow truck or slide back tow trucks.
- General cleanup of shop and yard.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic in extreme conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, etc.)
- Ability to lift 75 lbs., work outdoors in Arctic conditions, and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Willingness to work a rotational schedule (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off)
- Experience in oilfield, construction, or remote logistics.
- DOT certification or additional endorsements.
- OSHA or other safety training.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, and exposure to extreme cold.
