Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-focused Hotel Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. This role is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to hotel standards while helping maintain a clean, welcoming, and comfortable environment for every guest.
The Housekeeper plays an important role in the overall guest experience. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, pays attention to detail, and understands how much a well-prepared guest room matters in a full-service hotel setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms in accordance with hotel brand standards and housekeeping procedures
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and guest room amenities
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms thoroughly
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance issues before marking them ready
- Replenish supplies and ensure rooms are properly stocked for arriving guests
- Report maintenance concerns, missing items, or safety issues promptly
- Follow all hotel cleanliness, safety, and lost-and-found procedures
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner
- Respond to guest requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Support the housekeeping team in delivering an excellent guest experience
Qualifications
Required
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, hotel housekeeping, or room cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and complete physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to push, pull, bend, lift, and move linens, supplies, and housekeeping carts
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and presentation
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Professional attitude and teamwork skills
Preferred
- Previous hotel housekeeper or room attendant experience
- Familiarity with Marriott or other branded hotel cleanliness standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Typical Schedule
- Weekdays - 8:00am - 4:30pm and Weekends 9:00am - 5:30pm
- Weekends and holidays as needed
