GENERAL MANAGER
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking a General Manager to join our team. The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel by providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial performance, and guest satisfaction excellence. This position leads all hotel departments, ensures compliance with brand standards and company policies, drives business growth, and fosters a positive and productive work environment.

SCHEDULE:
  • Variable schedule; Must be available weekends and holidays; On-call 24/7 for emergency situations and after-hours needs.
RATE OF PAY:
  • $96,900 to $137,598 / DOE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a General Manager (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of management experience in a full-service hotel environment (required).
  • A strong background in multiple hospitality disciplines including Operations, Food & Beverage, and Sales and Revenue Management preferred.
  • Experience with the hotel’s brand preferred.
  • Franchise required General Manager Certification (must pass within 120 days of hire).
Knowledge
  • In-depth understanding of all hotel departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Sales, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of pricing strategies, occupancy optimization, and market segmentation.
  • Familiarity with guest satisfaction metrics, service recovery strategies, and loyalty programs.
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Understanding of facility management, cleanliness protocols, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Familiar with Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and other hotel management software.
  • Proficient with various software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Inspire, lead, and develop cross-functional teams across departments by training, mentoring, and promoting talent to foster high morale, strong performance, and long-term retention.
  • Adapt quickly to changing market conditions, guest preferences, and business priorities, while aligning operational plans with the organization’s long-term goals and strategic vision.
  • Resolve operational, staffing, and guest service issues diplomatically and effectively, maintaining a guest-first mindset and implementing service excellence strategies.
  • Make sound, timely decisions under pressure with limited supervision, managing crises calmly and effectively, and remaining on-call 24/7 for emergency situations or after-hours needs.
  • Utilize strong analytical and numerical skills to interpret data, drive profitability, and implement cost-control measures that support overall financial performance.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members at all levels, and the public through strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace culture, supporting company values, cultural expectations, and professional standards in all interactions.
  • Represent Hollander Hospitality with a positive attitude and professional demeanor, serving as a brand ambassador committed to delivering outstanding guest service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: The ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. This work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, move around the hotels to give site tours. Must be able to lift and carry general office supplies and equipment. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in person with background noise. Must have visual acuity to analyze written information and view computer terminal and ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word.
