What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Accounting Manager position at Delta Hotel Philadelphia Airport?
We're looking for a detail-oriented financial expert with strong accounting skills to be our hotel's next accounting manager. This position will report to the Hotel Controller and support the overall accounting process.
Responsibilities:
Produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets to assist the day-to-day accounting procedures and operations
Effectively monitor and track all accounts receivable, while also creating and controlling accounts payable invoicing
Analyze all statements, balance sheets, income, and expense accounts to guarantee accuracy and recommend adjustments that would increase profitability
Verify general ledger accounts, investigate and correct account discrepancies, and review daily revenue activity list to ensure accountability
Conduct monthly payroll audits and issue paychecks
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED; highly prefer a degree in finance or a related field
Excellent math skills, relationship skills, communication skills, and customer service skills are crucial
Candidates must have at least 3 years of previous work in hospitality, preferably in a full-service hotel
Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
