AFP Hotel Management is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue growth across our Oneida County portfolio. Compensation: From $90,000.00 per year before bonus
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals to maximize revenue and market share.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
- Oversee business development efforts, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing high-value deals in B2B environments.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that support sales objectives and brand positioning.
- Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities, analyze pipeline performance, and forecast future growth accurately.
- Conduct analysis of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide leadership in negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company policies and objectives.
- Oversee account management processes to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and expansion of existing accounts.
- Drive innovation in technical sales by staying informed about emerging technologies relevant to our offerings.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the hotel industry with outside sales and achieving sales goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field highly preferred. Must have a minimum of five years of direct sales experience.
- Successfully leading / supervising teams within a hotel / hospitality business is preferred.
- Successful candidates also have a strong understanding of dynamic pricing, hotel revenue yield management.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle negotiations, objections, rate resistance.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule; including weekends and holidays and travel for trade shows, conventions and other client networking meetings.
- Knowledge and experience using various office software programs: Microsoft Office, Salesforce or similar.
- Understanding of creating and reading banquet event orders, group contracts, and creating customer invoices.

Salary range from $90,000 based on experience and qualifications.
