About Delta Health Systems

Delta Health Systems is a healthcare third party administrator serving self-funded health plans, including single employer plans, multiemployer plans, Taft-Hartley trusts, joint powers authorities, and board-administered benefit programs. Our mission is simple: We make health plans work. We are looking for a data and technology leader who can help us modernize our data platform, strengthen enterprise reporting, and build scalable integration capabilities across affiliated business entities.

Position Summary

The Application Modernization & Javelina Support Analyst supports the modernization, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of critical healthcare administration systems and operational processes. This role serves as a bridge between business operations and technology, providing hands-on support for the Mphasis Javelina (JV) platform, legacy applications, reporting processes, data integrations, and system documentation.

The successful candidate will work closely with IT, operations, finance, vendors, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot production issues, improve existing workflows, automate manual processes, and ensure business-critical systems and reporting functions are reliable, documented, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing technical and operational support for the Mphasis Javelina (JV) platform, including ID cards, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), accumulator data loads, historical claims data loads, and related business processes.
  • Troubleshoot system, data, file, and production issues; coordinate resolution with internal teams and external vendors as appropriate.
  • Support modernization of legacy AS400 and finance-related applications, including application conversion, enhancement, testing, validation, and deployment using C#/.NET technologies.
  • Support recurring healthcare reporting and file processes, including CMS Mandatory Reporting, Limited Liability Reporting, Anthem Dual Coverage files, and other operational reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting, data processing, validation, and other recurring operational activities.
  • Support daily accumulator loads and historical accumulator and claims data conversions associated with new group implementations, including validation and reconciliation of loaded data.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of reporting and operational SQL queries, including documentation of purpose, usage, business ownership, execution frequency, dependencies, and scheduling requirements.
  • Support consistent standards for SQL storage, version control, documentation, and governance.
  • Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation, including process flows, file layouts, business rules, system dependencies, validation procedures, troubleshooting steps, error handling, and escalation procedures.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks and knowledge resources to support business continuity and reduce reliance on undocumented institutional knowledge.
  • Partner with business users, operations, IT, and vendors to understand system requirements, resolve issues, and implement practical process and system improvements.
What Success Looks Like
  • Javelina operational processes are reliable, supported, and effectively documented.
  • Production issues are identified, investigated, and resolved with appropriate validation and follow-through.
  • Manual reporting and operational processes are increasingly automated and standardized.
  • Legacy applications and workflows are progressively modernized without disrupting critical business operations.
  • SQL queries, reporting logic, and technical documentation are organized in a centralized and maintainable repository.
  • New group accumulator and historical claims data loads are completed accurately and supported by defined validation and reconciliation procedures.
  • Critical workflows have current documentation, troubleshooting guides, and clearly defined escalation procedures.
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations, claims administration, health plan, payer, or TPA systems.
  • Experience with Mphasis Javelina (JV) or a comparable claims administration platform strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare operational processes, including claims processing, accumulators, ID cards, EOBs, reporting, and vendor file processes.
  • Strong SQL and database skills, with experience supporting reporting, data validation, and operational workflows.
  • Experience with AS400 systems, C#/.NET applications, or legacy application modernization.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate and resolve system, data, and process issues.
  • Experience developing clear technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day support responsibilities while contributing to longer-term modernization initiatives.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within a healthcare TPA, payer, health plan, or claims administration environment.
  • Familiarity with CMS reporting requirements and healthcare regulatory reporting processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions, data integrations, and vendor file processes.
  • Experience supporting Anthem reporting or file processes.
  • Experience with SharePoint or similar centralized documentation and knowledge-management repositories.
  • Experience automating recurring reporting, file processing, or operational workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on problem solver who understands both healthcare operations and technology. This individual is comfortable moving between day-to-day production support and longer-term modernization initiatives and can translate business needs into practical technical solutions.

The successful candidate will be naturally curious, organized, and documentation-minded, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, improve inefficient processes, and build sustainable solutions that reduce manual effort and strengthen operational continuity.
