About the Role
DELTA H Technologies is hiring an experienced Welder - TIG & Metal Fusing to join our production team. In this role, you'll weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment, working under the direction of the Production Foreman Supervisor. What You'll Do
- Plan work order procedures and gather the tools and materials needed for each job
- Repair and fabricate items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques
- Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
- Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area
- Notify your supervisor promptly of any faulty equipment or defective materials
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior relevant work experience preferred
Skills
- Proficient in both TIG and MIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Comfortable working with refractory materials such as high-temperature ceramics, castable, and refractory brick
- Ability to adjust welder voltage as needed
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Physical Requirements
- Able to exert up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally, with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects
- Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the facility
- Proficient use of hands and fingers to operate machinery and tools
- Good vision (including close vision, color vision, and depth perception) for reading drawings and inspecting work
- Ability to hear and communicate clearly in a noisy manufacturing environment
- Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders
- Comfortable bending, stooping, and reaching to inspect equipment and materials
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a powered industrial truck
Working Conditions
This position is based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and standard shop safety equipment.
