Machine Operator

Operate a variety of machinery including but not limited to Auto Insertion Machine, Cable Machine, Wave, and SCS utilized in the contract manufacturing of printed circuit boards and cable harness environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Sets up and operates a production machines such as Auto Insertion Machine, Cable Machine, Wave, SCS, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Reads and interprets Customer drawing and BOM’s to select, position and secure machinery.
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Manufacturing Lead, Supervisor, Manager or Safety Officer.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor. Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned work area.
• Maintains department specific records.
• Works under close supervision from Production Department Supervisor.
• Is consistently at work and on time. Must adhere to company specified work schedule.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to twelve months of experience and/or training in the electronics field are preferred.

Language Skills

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.

Computer Skills

• Perform basic computer tasks as assigned. Minimal skills required. Ability to program machines preferred.
