Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining Delta Group Electronics Inc.’s computer systems and communications system. Demonstrates excellent customer service by providing internal users with effective solutions promptly. Installs servers and workstations, maintains LAN and WAN connectivity across the facilities. Occasional travel required to company locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Performs backup audits of servers across the facilities.
- Maintains servers, workstations and network equipment

across the facilities.

Troubleshoots problems reported by users and provides prompt, effective resolution.

Makes recommendations for server and computer upgrades.

Performs server and computer upgrades and repairs across the facilities.

Performs daily maintenance of servers which includes scheduled backups, updates and actual physical checks of servers, switches and workstations.
- Maintains system and network security across the facilities.
- Monitors network security to ensure availability to remote users.
- Monitors system performance.
- Maintains network and system integrity and security.
- Administers servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, company-issued cell phones, software deployments, security updates and patches.
- Maintains users and workstations in Active Directory.
- Maintains availability for flexible work schedules, to support IT needs.

Travels to company locations as needed to support IT needs.
- Occasional travel of up to 10% - 15%
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school degree or GED equivalent required with minimum 3 -5 years of IT experience in a 100 user multi-server WAN/LAN environment.
Experience in desktop support and system administration preferred.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology preferred.
Language Skills
Proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Results Orientation
Strives to respond to immediate user needs and plans for action to ensure outputs remain on track.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Windows Server, Desktop Operating Systems, and user software.
