In business for over 25 years, we currently operate out of our offices and warehouse in the Elmwood area of Jefferson Parish. Our company focuses on providing flooring, interior finishes and fixtures to commercial and institutional clients across southeast Louisiana.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Accountant located in Metairie, LA. The Project Accountant will be tasked with managing project-related and company finances, including preparing invoices, tracking budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role also includes collaborating with project managers, analyzing financial data, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance to ensure proper financial management of all projects.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Proficiency in software accounting tools such as Quickbooks
- Proficiency in common office / collaboration software such as Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to set goals, manage time and meet deadlines
- Some experience with Budget Management and Cost Analysis
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with co-workers and clients
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Successful completion of college level (or equivalent) basic accounting courses is required.
- Previous experience in project accounting or the construction industry is a plus
- Some experience with sales tax filing is preferred
