Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Vice President of Accounting to oversee the financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounting department, establishing clear goals and objectives.
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for executive management and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit processes.
- Monitor financial performance by analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting team to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Extensive experience in senior accounting roles, with proven leadership in managing finance teams.
- Strong proficiency with financial software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, QuickBooks).
