Position Purpose:

In this Field Application Engineer (FAE) role you will be responsible for the successful implementation of the product as well as understanding user needs and applications. The role will require a high level of technical expertise and commercial judgement to achieve desired business outcomes. You will be responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned product lines to support Product Management, Sales, and other functional groups to execute the strategy across Delta businesses, partners and customers. Creating strong working relationships with key stakeholders will be important to harnessing organizational impact beyond the assigned product technology and expanding beyond to the portfolio and solutions level. This role will be responsible for on-site support at customers, key accounts, and partners - success will rely on leveraging progressive project management methodologies and an expert-level mindset. The ideal candidate will be especially curious and carry an entrepreneurial spirit.

KA Support

1. Technical support and project lead to named key accounts (including factory liaison)
2. Pre-sales support & expanding product usage at target key accounts

Product Knowledge

1. Deep understanding of the product and all its functions – become the GO-TO tech expert
2. Verifying the Manual is correct compared to Function
3. Testing new product introductions to verify they perform to specifications
4. Supplying any issues/bugs/errors back to the R&D team

Product Support & Training Services

1. Pre-Sales application demonstration, design-in, test/POC, documentation
2. Post-Sales Trouble shooting product issues, validation, on-site and RMA/Rework Assistance
3. Support Sales team and Customers with product training.
4. Support Email, Web, and Phone call service requests
5. Attend tradeshows and support technical conversations with potential customers
6. Assist Product Launch and defines areas of product improvement for next gen

Development & Promotion

1. Work with PM and Marketing to make sure product documentation on web page, production selection site and supplied to customers is accurate
2. Increase application know-how, developing application notes for product and architecture
3. Develops Power Points for Sales team to use when promoting the product
4. Application Champion for IA Solution Center Collaboration & success case harvesting
5. Product Pack or Kit Development & Test

Job qualification guidelines:

• B.S.E (EE, ME or related) & 5 years’ experience of related product experience, product management methods

Field Application Engineering (FAE) in power and thermal products involve a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver effective solutions that address the critical need for power and thermal products. It emphasizes understanding the technical challenges, market landscape, and customer needs to drive successful product development and growth.

• Power and Thermal FAE focus on developing, managing, and optimizing products and solutions related to power supply converters, inverters and thermal products for cooling systems.
• Power Electronics Product: Established understanding in Power Electronics in the AC/DC converter, DC/DC converter, DC/AC inverter, battery knowledge, Industrious Battery Charger, AC and DC Motor Drives for various industries including Industrial Logistics, E-mobility, Energy, Agriculture, Medical, Lighting and Automation.
• Thermal Solutions: Established understanding the DC axial Fan, EC Fan, Liquid Cooling Solution, HPAM, Pump device, Solenoid products in the mentioned industries.
• Product Support: Incorporating power and thermal development with engineering teams is critical for preventing failures, ensuring safety, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Market Growth Goal: The Power and Thermal FAE is driven by increasing demand from various industries, including e-mobility, new energy power.
• Product vision and strategy: Defining the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for power and thermal management products.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Technical expertise: Communicating technical information effectively and understanding the technical details of the products.
• On-site technical support: Utilizing the knowledge to resolve customer’s technical issues and demonstrate the product performance
• Familiarity with industrial market segments such as: Appliance, Food & Beverage, Material Handling, Off-road vehicles, CNC machines, Energy, Packaging, Oil & Gas.
