Job Summary

This position is responsible for the network recruitment within specified dental networks across Connecticut for Delta Dental of New Jersey & Connecticut (DDNJ/CT). Responsibilities include assisting in developing, retaining, implementing recruitment, evolving relationships with network offices staff and dentists, reporting any related dental information and recommendations as necessary to the Dental Network Manager. This position represents DDNJ/CT to the dental community for purposes of participation, network services, recruitment and retention and is responsible for achieving recruitment goals. This is a remote field role based in Connecticut. The position requires regular in-state travel and occasional overnight trips for recruitment, events, and provider visits.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support the Professional Services Department in developing and implementing dental network recruiting goals, targets, and plans for DDNJ/CT’s networks within Connecticut and other assigned geographic areas.
  • Conduct targeted recruitment activities for the dental network, including follow-up calls, office visits, and consistent tracking to achieve defined recruiting goals.
  • Collaborate on pilot programs and new dental initiatives related to DDNJ/CT networks, ensuring strong participation and alignment with company objectives.
  • Assist the Professional Relations Department in credentialing activities by obtaining missing documents and completing credentialing and re-credentialing contracts accurately and promptly.
  • Educate dental offices on DDNJ/CT programs, proper claims submission, website updates, and available resources, ensuring each office has current manuals, literature, and signed agreements readily accessible.
  • Collect and maintain data to measure and track provider status, including claims, terminations, additions, credentials, approvals, and office evaluation results, ensuring all follow-up steps are completed.
  • Assist dental offices in resolving operational issues, including balance billing and claim concerns across New Jersey, Connecticut, and other states, adhering to national processing policies.
  • Maintain network stability by developing and nurturing positive relationships with network dental offices through office visits, service follow-ups, and regular communication.
  • Represent DDNJ/CT at professional events (e.g., NJDA/CSDA conventions, DDNJ/CT Company Days, Office Manager Council) and support educational seminars and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Marketing Department during meetings, presentations, and service-related calls to key accounts supporting network development and credentialing standards.
  • Network with dentists, practice management vendors, and clearinghouses to strengthen engagement and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Promotes digital solutions – including electronic claims submission (ECS), electronic funds transfer (EFT), electronic remittance assistance (ERA) - through education, training, and information sharing to enhance office efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to streamline administrative processes, increasing the efficiency of digital platforms such as DentalXChange, Workflow, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, and integrated applications supporting ECS, EFT, and ERA.

Technical and Functional

  • Ability to deliver excellent customer experience- both internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout New Jersey and Connecticut, including day trips and occasional overnight trips as necessary. A valid active driver’s license is required.
  • Knowledge of government and regulatory requirements as they apply to dental practices.
  • Previous dental office management experience, with proven management and coordination skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in dentist recruitment, contracting, and negotiation.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills – both formal and informal.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a highly independent environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience with DentalXChange, Workflow & SharePoint a plus

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This classification will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

Experience Required

Experience, Education, and Certifications Required

  • Dental experience is not required, but a definite asset.
  • Experience in the administration of traditional and managed care dental insurance programs.
  • Experience in professional interactions with dentists or other medical professionals required.

Required Educational Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Certifications Required/preferred

  • Certification in dental auxiliary training is necessary-CDA, RDA, RDH, LPN or RN strongly preferred
