The Theta Zeta chapter of Tri Delta at the University of Texas (Austin, TX) is looking for their next team member, and you do not need to be a member of Tri Delta to apply! We are actively looking for a Porter to assist with cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and chapter house. The Porter is a member of Tri Delta’s Park Street Properties Team. - Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Seasonal
- Location: On-site in Austin, TX
- Supervised by: House Director
*Please note that the Tri Delta offices will be closed for the holidays beginning Monday, December 22nd and reopen Monday, January 5th. We welcome applications during this period! We will review your applications and answer questions about the positions when we return in the new year.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Cleaning & Sanitation
- Cleaning kitchen supplies and utensils
- Taking out trash daily
- Washing dishes after each meal
- Cleaning the kitchen daily
- Sweeping and mopping
- Cleaning windows
- General maintenance of house and kitchen equipment
- Kitchen Management
- Promptly notify the supervisor and/or house director of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions in or around the kitchen
- Properly care for supplies and kitchen equipment
- Notify supervisor and/or house director of any accidents or injuries while on duty, immediately
- Administrative/General Responsibilities
- Observe kitchen and chapter rules, as determined by the chapter and house director
- Refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs in and around the chapter territory
- Maintain a professional relationship with all chapter members and residents, employees, and volunteers
- Perform general duties as assigned such as a checklist of assigned tasks

Possesses skills to operate a computer including web browsing, email, and Office products.

Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 40 lbs, standing on the tile floor for long periods of time, and use of hands to handle and control tools.
