Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumbing/HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of essential building systems, delivering comfort and safety to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment while contributing to property maintenance excellence. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Service and maintain HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration setups
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs
- Conduct field service operations for property maintenance projects, ensuring timely resolution of mechanical problems
- Perform equipment repair using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to restore functionality efficiently
- Assist with appliance repair and general maintenance tasks across commercial or residential properties
- Support HVAC/R (refrigeration) system installations and repairs while ensuring compliance with industry standards
- HVAC Universal certification required
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments and property maintenance
- Proven service technician experience in HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair
- Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R technology
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical components
- Experience operating a
driver or similar vehicle for field service tasks - Welding skills and boiler maintenance experience are highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive approach to equipment repair and maintenance
