Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Device Management (MDM) Engineer to manage, support, and optimize enterprise mobile device platforms using Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, and Android Enterprise.

This role focuses on supporting company-managed iPhones, iPads, and rugged Android handheld scanners used across manufacturing and distribution environments. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in mobile device enrollment, configuration, compliance, application management, OS deployment, and advanced troubleshooting.

This individual will serve as a Level 3 technical escalation resource, ensuring mobile devices remain secure, compliant, operational, and capable of supporting business-critical applications. The position also involves vendor coordination, mobile application lifecycle management, automation, and enterprise mobility platform improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and support enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms using Microsoft Intune
• Resolve escalated iOS/iPadOS and Android device issues, including enrollment, compliance, application functionality, and connectivity
• Manage Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager configurations, policies, groups, and device actions
• Configure and maintain device enrollment, compliance policies, application protection policies, and security settings
• Package, deploy, configure, and maintain public, private, and line-of-business mobile applications
• Test new operating system, application, and firmware releases
• Lead readiness testing and staged deployments for major iOS, iPadOS, and Android OS updates
• Configure, stage, and support rugged Android handheld scanners used in manufacturing and warehouse environments
• Manage Apple Business Manager enrollment and application distribution capabilities
• Maintain and renew Apple certificates and tokens, including APNs, ADE, and VPP
• Coordinate with mobile technology vendors and application teams on escalated support cases, testing, releases, and licensing
• Monitor vendor performance, support escalations, and service-level agreements
• Generate and analyze device inventory, compliance, and license reports
• Identify compliance gaps and drive remediation activities
• Implement configuration changes and deployments through ServiceNow change management
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and status reports
• Use scripting and automation to improve device management, reporting, and operational efficiency

What This Person Will Be Working On

• Microsoft Intune Administration: Managing enterprise mobile device configurations, enrollment, security policies, and compliance
• Apple Device Management: Supporting iPhones and iPads through Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, and supervised device management
• Android Enterprise Management: Configuring and supporting rugged Android handheld scanners used in manufacturing and distribution operations
• Mobile Application Lifecycle Management: Packaging, deploying, updating, and maintaining business-critical mobile applications
• OS Release Management: Testing and coordinating staged rollouts for major iOS, iPadOS, Android, and firmware updates
• Level 3 Troubleshooting: Resolving complex device enrollment, connectivity, compliance, and application issues
• Vendor Management: Coordinating technical support cases, application testing, software releases, SLAs, and license renewals
• Security & Compliance: Maintaining device compliance, Conditional Access, certificates, and enterprise authentication integrations
• Automation & Reporting: Using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph to support reporting, device administration, and process improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience
• 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Intune administration supporting iOS/iPadOS and Android devices
• Strong experience managing enterprise mobile devices through Microsoft Intune
• Advanced knowledge of Apple Business Manager (ABM), including:
• Automated Device Enrollment (ADE)
• Apps and Books (VPP)
• Supervised device management
• Declarative Device Management
• Kiosk mode
• Experience with Android Enterprise dedicated devices and rugged handheld scanners
• Experience configuring, deploying, and supporting mobile applications
• Strong understanding of Mobile Application Management (MAM), including application configuration and protection policies
• Experience managing Managed Google Play private applications
• Knowledge of mobile application packaging, deployment, updates, and lifecycle management
• Experience supporting mobile OS and firmware testing, deployment, and release management
• Strong Level 3 troubleshooting skills across device enrollment, compliance, applications, and connectivity
• Experience coordinating vendor support escalations, testing, releases, SLAs, and license renewals
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access
• Experience with certificate-based Wi-Fi authentication and mobile Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Experience using PowerShell or Microsoft Graph for scripting, reporting, and automation
• Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL change management
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage complex technical issues
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience supporting mobile devices in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments
• Experience with Zebra rugged Android handheld scanners
• Knowledge of Zebra StageNow, OEMConfig, and DataWedge
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise mobile device deployments
• Experience with mobile device security, compliance remediation, and certificate management
• Experience automating Intune administration and reporting using PowerShell or Microsoft Graph
• Strong vendor coordination and enterprise mobility support experience
• Experience supporting business-critical mobile applications in operational environments
