Delta Community Supports, Inc. is seeking DSPs accredited by the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) to provide direct care for older adults in a day program setting. This role supports the interests, needs, and daily engagement of individuals, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Support individuals in daily living activities, community engagement, and achieving ISP outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy home environment.
- Prepare meals, assist with hygiene, and complete household tasks.
- Accurately complete documentation, logs, and required reports.
- Administer medications per procedure and follow all safety and licensing standards
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and participate in required trainings and meetings.
- Ensure proper staffing ratios, secure the home, and follow all Delta policies.
- For overnight shifts: complete half-hour checks, hourly Vista transfers, follow duty lists, and assist individuals in the morning routine.
- NADSP Certification (DSP-I, II, III).
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on a given assignment.
- Ability to resolve non-routine situations properly.
- Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Ability to travel locally within surrounding county areas to provide direct support.
