What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office South Town Mall Security position at Delta Center?
JOB SUMMARY:
The South Town Mall Security Officer works to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the facility. The Officer will be answering phones and radio communication ensuring the safety and security of the building’s employees and guests. The Officer will remain in close contact with and report to the Building Security Manager. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. $19 per hour.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possess a strong understanding of all areas of the facility
- Execute policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of public safety
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
- Answering phones and radio calls
- Interact with guests and employees entering the facility
- Have extensive knowledge of the facility’s camera system and other security systems
- Must be able to take objections and respond with a guest service approach first
- Enforce facility safety and security rules and policies
- Foster strong communication within the department
- Ensure consistent standards of practice
- Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests
- Protect the reputation of the company
- Exemplify the Delta Center mission and values: transparent, all in, community obsessed, one team, and scrappy
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm in highly stressful situations
- Must be able to work in a collaborative manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs
