What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Server- Delta Hotels HELENA position at Delta by Marriott Hotel?
Come and work at the best hotel in town! Delta Hotels by Marriott is looking for a Part-time weekend food server for our wonderful Ridgeline Restaurant.
This position will provide excellent food and beverage service to our guests as well as anyone who wants to stop in and grab some breakfast and lunch. We are looking for someone who is friendly, courteous, timely and provides that hospitality spirit! You will be taking orders, providing room service and work directly with all hotel departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Check and stock stations before, during and after shift for proper set up and cleanliness.
- Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and present menu and any specials and/or restaurant promotions.
- Record the details of order from guests.
- Accurately input the order into the Point-of-Sale computer.
- Deliver order to guest and confirm its accuracy.
- Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
- Responsible for ensuring that all workstations comply with sanitation and safety standards for guests and team members.
- Perform any general cleaning.
- Clean and wipe down tables. Reset table for another guest.
- Taking and delivery of room service orders, handle special guest requests, and greet and seat guests.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation.
- Ability to use a knife to cut breads, pick up glassware and serving items, scoop ice and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
- Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
