Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Truss Department Manager, the Truss Production Manager oversees all personnel in truss production and batching & splicing. This position organizes and distributes work to each crew and makes decisions along with the Truss Department Manager in hiring, terminating, and moving personnel to different departments as needed. The Truss Production Manager also holds documented Safety Meetings on a monthly basis and oversees that all areas of truss production are following proper safety protocol. This position must also have knowledge of Company HR procedures and policy relating to work related injuries.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role will oversee all workers involved in the truss production area; including sawyers, builders, stackers and the batching & splicing department.
Work Environment
The work environment will be both inside desk work as well as subjection to the harsh elements of the outdoors. It will also be around loud noises when in the presence of heavy equipment or working in the production areas.
Physical Demands
Some of required work includes sitting for long periods at a desk. The position also requires walking distances between office space and production areas as well as other grounds to inspect materials, etc. The position requires the ability to lift, pull and push more than 100 pounds as well as bending and working in a quick, yet accurate manner.
Travel
Travel out of town may be required from time to time to assess a job and make truss repairs as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One-year related experience
- Fluent in English
