Mechanic III is responsible for assisting the mechanics with regular maintenance and repair on Delta Building Center equipment, including automotive and industrial machinery in different divisions.
Essential Functions

• Assist in the maintenance of all equipment including automotive and industrial.
• Repair equipment as directed
• Keep the shop clean and clear of debris
• Assist with the cleaning of vehicles and equipment as needed
• Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment
• Run for parts as requested or needed by fellow mechanics
• Report any defective equipment to the lead mechanic so it can be addressed properly
Competencies
• Computer skills on multiple types of software
• Ability to analyze and problem solve
• Good time management skills
• Making good judgement calls and decisions
• Organized
• Detail oriented
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The work environment is mostly inside of the maintenance shop or one of the production shops. There are times when mobile equipment breaks down and outside work needs to be done.
Physical Demands
This job requires pushing, pulling or lifting heavy items and to be able to be in tight spots and work in all sorts of weather.
Travel
Travel out of town may be required from time to time.
Required Education and Experience
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience
• 1-year related experience or equivalent schooling
