What You’ll Learn

- Real-world forecasting techniques and business metrics
- Advanced data analysis and visualization tools
- How analytics support strategy decision-making in a global operation
- Analyze and explain day-over-day changes to the revenue projections, identifying key drivers and sensitivities
- Perform quantitative analysis on large datasets to generate insights and support decision-making, conducting extensive data analysis to generate actionable insights
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Management, Operations, Market Development, and Accounting/Finance teams
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within both cargo forecasting/reporting processes and performance data
- Support ongoing enhancements to forecasting processes and daily reporting by completing projects including forecast projection analysis, capacity forecast process automation, and data source dashboard development
- Contribute to automation efforts to improve efficiency, seeking opportunities for new automation by leveraging available tools
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution.
- At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale.
- Must be available to work on a full-time basis for 3 alternating semesters: Fall 2026, Summer 2027, and Spring 2028.
- Please ensure that this alternative semester rotation works with your university, curriculum, and/or academic advisor before applying.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in data analysis, preferably SQL, SAS, and/or Teradata, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of basic financial concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to identify trends and anomalies
- This position requires student to work for 3 alternating semesters. Student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op/Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters.
- Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the Co-op.
- Working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce.

- Eager to learn in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
