As our company continues to grow, we’re seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting operations and support strategic financial decisions.
Position Overview:
The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial and accounting operations — from daily bookkeeping and payroll to job cost analysis, reporting, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong understanding of construction accounting, GAAP standards, and project cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Maintain job cost accounting, monitor project budgets, and track expenses against forecasts
- Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and local/state/federal regulations
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for multiple projects
- Work closely with management and project teams to analyze financial data and improve profitability
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and audits
- Maintain accounting systems and improve internal controls and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with job cost accounting and construction project tracking
- Proficiency with Software Foundation(or other accounting software)
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- Experience with AIA billing, WIP reports, and retainage accounting
- Familiarity with drilling, piping, or heavy construction project accounting
- CPA or CMA certification a plus
- . Foundation Software knowledge or willing to learn.

Pay: $1,687.95 - $2,032.80 per week
