At DelRicht Directors oversee a larger portfolio of 4-6 regions and the goal of this opportunity is to quickly develop to Director.
This leader will take ownership of performance across a regional portfolio of sites, directly influence how we scale a growing multi-state network, and help build the next layer of leadership by developing strong, high-performing Site Managers. Associate Director Of Clinical Operations Role
As we continue to grow geographically and expand our regional model, we are strengthening our leadership team to ensure predictable performance and strong Site Manager development across our Clinical Research Sites.
The Associate Director plays a critical role in driving consistency across a portfolio of sites by strengthening Site Manager effectiveness, reducing execution variability, and resolving recurring operational issues. This position ensures that regional performance is stable, predictable, and aligned with company expectations.
Associate Director of Clinical Operations Main Objective: The Associate Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for driving consistent performance across a portfolio of sites by strengthening Site Manager effectiveness, reducing execution variability, and proactively resolving recurring operational challenges.
○ Monitor performance trends weekly and intervene early when sites drift off target.
○ Reduce performance variance across sites to ensure predictability.
○ Ensure opportunity capture across active studies.
○ Hold Site Managers accountable for measurable outcomes, not effort.
○ Leverage KPIs to proactively identify risks in enrollment, quality, retention, and activation timelines.
○ Align quarterly development goals with company initiatives.
○ Differentiate performance clearly and address performance gaps decisively.
○ Build visible bench strength and promotion readiness within the region.
○ Coach Site Managers on how to think and solve problems structurally, not just tactically.
○ Support the development of CRC talent through Site Manager leadership.
○ This is a high-impact people leadership role focused on building strong managers and future leaders.
○ Identify recurring cross-site patterns and drive root-cause corrections.
○ Separate one-off issues from systemic breakdowns.
○ Ensure corrective actions are implemented consistently across sites.
○ Reduce repeat escalations by fixing structural drivers rather than symptoms.
○ Coach Site Managers on proactive PI relationship management.
○ Strengthen sponsor and monitor relationships at the site level.
○ Step into high-risk situations when stakeholder relationships require escalation or stabilization.
○ Ensure consistent client experience across all sites within the portfolio.
○ Travel may vary based on operational needs but averages approximately 40–50%.

- You will supervise 5–8 Clinical Research Sites across 2–3 regions with 4–6 direct reports (Site Managers) and 20–35 indirect reports.
- You will oversee physician and client relationships within your assigned portfolio and ensure consistent operational execution across sites.
- Regional Performance Optimization
○ Monitor performance trends weekly and intervene early when sites drift off target.

- : 6 years of progressive, demonstrable people management experience inclusive of having both direct and indirect reports.
- Required: 3 years directly managing Site Managers or equivalent mid-level leaders
- Required: Experience overseeing multiple locations, sites, or departments with a track record of growing revenue in multi-site/unit environment
- Preferred: Experience in multi-unit healthcare or healthcare-adjacent environment strongly preferred
- : Experience managing KPIs and performance metrics across a portfolio
- : The role involves frequent multi state travel and overnight stays as necessary based on operational needs across various locations, which varies but on average is 50%. Weekend travel is extremely limited but occasionally possible.
