Role Description This full-time, on-site Cardiologist role is based at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL. The Cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including performing patient assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and managing acute and chronic cardiac conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting inpatient and outpatient consultations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in rounds, and coordinating follow-up care. The role also involves documenting clinical encounters, ensuring adherence to evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Depending on interests and department needs, the Cardiologist may contribute to education of clinical staff and support community outreach related to heart health.
Qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiology; completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology.
- Unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of Florida and current ACLS/BLS certification.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including experience with common cardiology procedures and diagnostics (e.g., EKG interpretation, echocardiography coordination, stress testing management).
- Strong analytical, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams in a diverse environment.
- Ability to manage a high-volume clinical schedule, maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record, and collaborate in quality and performance improvement efforts.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and respect for all individuals, with a patient-centered approach to care and willingness to participate in hospital initiatives.
- Experience in a hospital-based cardiology practice or academic medical setting is preferred; additional subspecialty training (e.g., interventional, electrophysiology, heart failure) is a plus.
