The Delray Beach Open is looking for a creative, organized, and highly motivated Social Media Manager to help lead our social media coverage for the 2027 tournament!
This role will be responsible for overseeing the Delray Beach Open Social Team and coordinating the day-to-day execution of our social media coverage. We’re looking for someone who can see the big picture, manage a team in a fast-paced live-event environment, and make sure the moments we need are captured, created, and posted at the right time.

What You’ll Do
Lead the Social Team
- Help oversee and manage the Social Media Assistant and team of photographers during tournament week
- Develop daily content plans and assign coverage responsibilities across the team
- Make sure key matches, players, sponsor activations, special events, fan experiences and behind-the-scenes moments are properly covered
- Communicate throughout the day with photographers and team members to ensure required content is being captured
- Keep track of what has been captured, what has been posted and what still needs coverage
- Adapt quickly when schedules, matches or priorities change
- Work closely with Delray Beach Open staff to ensure important Tournament and sponsor content does not get missed
Manage & Execute Social Media Coverage
- Help plan the Delray Beach Open social media content calendar leading into the Tournament
- Manage real-time social media coverage throughout Tournament week
- Create, edit, schedule and publish content across DBO social channels
- Produce Instagram Stories, Reels, feed posts and other short-form content
- Cover match results, player moments, fan experiences, special events, sponsor activations and everything happening around the grounds
- Help ensure content is timely, accurate, engaging and consistent with the Delray Beach Open brand
- Identify great content opportunities throughout the Tournament rather than simply waiting for assignments
- Help tell the full story of the Delray Beach Open, both on and off the court
Content Creation & Graphic Design
- Create or update social graphics as needed throughout the engagement
- Produce quick-turnaround graphics such as Match Results, Order of Play, schedule updates, Champion graphics and other timely Tournament content
- Work within existing DBO graphic templates and brand guidelines
- Assist with additional creative content needs as they arise
Most major graphic templates and creative assets will be prepared in advance, but the Social Media Manager should be comfortable creating and adapting graphics when needed.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing social media accounts and creating engaging content
- Is a strong leader and communicator who is comfortable coordinating a small content team
- Is extremely organized and able to keep track of multiple content needs at once
- Understands how to prioritize coverage in a fast-moving live-event environment
- Has a strong eye for what makes great social content
- Understands Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reels, Stories and short-form video
- Is comfortable using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite and has graphic design skills
- Can edit and publish content quickly
- Is proactive, reliable, detail-oriented and able to problem-solve on the fly
- Is available on-site throughout the Delray Beach Open, February 12–21
- Has an interest in sports, live events or tennis — tennis knowledge is a plus!
