Job Summary
The Delran Township School District a K-12 district committed to excellence and innovation, is accepting applications for a Part-Time Utility Mail Carrier.
Responsibilities
- Drive to and from various district and off campus sites to deliver and pick-up mail, supplies and other materials or miscellaneous items.
- Transports and delivers food between district schools as directed, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs in accordance with established schedules.
- Snow removal; Shovels, snowplows, operate salt spreaders and/or sweep sidewalks, steps, driveways and parking areas as necessary.
- Emergency snow removal and graduation coverage are mandatory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age and have (3) years driving experience and a valid NJ Drivers License.
- Be in good physical health and have the ability to perform assigned duties, including snow and ice removal.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift and reach overhead.
- Required criminal history background check and proof or U.S. citizenship or legal alien resident status.
Terms of Employment
- 12 month work year (5 days per week with a maximum of 29 hours per week). Starting salary is $24.05 per hour. Position is not eligible for medical, drug or prescription benefits.
