Chiropractic office seeks a professional, energetic, detail-oriented and dependable Medical Billing Specialist. Position requires great organizational, communication, and computer skills. Job Requirements
- Verify that services and new patient information are entered correctly.
- Submit claims and following up with insurance carriers on unpaid or rejected claims.
- Get payments from patients on any monies owed. (Most of the time the patients pay at the time of service.)
- Answer patient inquires on account status and charges.
- In the uncommon case where the patient has a balance, send out statements/make phone calls on a biweekly basis.
- By the 15th of the month or thereabout, present an "End of Month" report.
- Your outcome is collect 95% or better of the net services.
