Job Description
DeLong Construction, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to work on construction projects throughout Southeast Iowa. Operators will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment on active job sites while working closely with foremen and crew members.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (dozers, excavators, loaders, rollers, etc.)
Perform grading, trenching, excavation, and backfill work
Read and follow grade stakes, plans, and directions from foremen
Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Maintain a safe and organized job site
Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
Experience working on earthmoving or construction projects
Ability to work safely in an active construction environment
Willingness to work seasonal schedules and varying job sites
Drug screen required
