The Opportunity

As our firm continues to grow, we're investing in the future of our advisory team by creating a dedicated leadership role focused on advisor development, financial planning excellence, and technical coaching.


The Director of Advisor Services is responsible for developing advisors, establishing planning standards, and fostering consistency across every client planning experience. This role combines advisor coaching, financial planning leadership, and strategic oversight to ensure our advisors continue to grow professionally while delivering exceptional financial advice.


Success in this role comes from balancing exceptional coaching with strong planning leadership. You'll partner closely with our advisors, operations team, and leadership team to build advisor capabilities, refine our planning philosophy, and maintain the standards that support a consistent, high-quality client experience.


What You'll Do


Advisor Development & Coaching

  • Lead the ongoing development, coaching, and mentoring of the advisor team, including individualized coaching plans.
  • Design and deliver structured advisor training programs covering planning philosophy, technical planning concepts, client communication, and presentation skills.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional excellence.


Financial Planning Leadership

  • Guide the firm's financial planning philosophy, standards, and best practices, including standards for financial plans, planning workflows, client meeting agendas, and deliverables.
  • Direct the firm's financial planning platform strategy, evaluating and implementing planning technology such as MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, and emerging solutions to keep the firm at the forefront of financial planning.
  • Coordinate with advisors and operations staff to improve planning quality, consistency, and technical execution.


Strategic Oversight

  • Partner with Leadership on advisor performance, development, succession planning, and long-term department growth.
  • Steer strategic initiatives that strengthen advisor development and planning excellence across the firm.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in financial planning or wealth management.
  • Previous experience as a practicing financial advisor or support advisor.
  • Demonstrated passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing other professionals.
  • Strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning strategies and advisory best practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses, or the ability to obtain required licensing within an agreed-upon timeframe.


Preferred

  • CFP® designation or similar.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience, including leading advisor development, coaching, or training initiatives.
  • Proficiency with qualified retirement plans and advanced planning strategies.
  • Expertise evaluating or implementing financial planning technology.


Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, credentials, leadership background, and demonstrated capabilities, plus performance-based bonus opportunities paid semiannually. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and scope of the role at hire.

Work Location
