Working Foreman
Deloka LLC - Lyons, NY
JOB DUTIES:
- Must demonstrate success in the leading and managing of people
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and deal with crisis situations
- Learns & performs all phases of the shop operation including the use of a variety of tools & equipment
- Fork lifts - Over-head Crane system - Power Drills - Sanders - Hammers, etc.
- Sandblasting equipment
- Powder coating equipment
- Power wash equipment
- Racking and Un-racking, Packaging of parts for shipment
- Maintains cleanliness of work environment – Sweeping, Vacuuming, etc.
- Uses safe working practices and reports hazardous conditions (enforce OSHA rules)
- Assists in all stages of production to ensure Q.C. meets or exceeds customer requirements
- Assists in process improvement through sound project management techniques
- Overseas all day to day questions from team members
- Assist in job organization as well as filling out job sheets
- Performs other miscellaneous jobs as directed
- Ability to interact with customers
QUALIFICATIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- High school diploma (Required)
- Mechanical / Electrical & Maintenance abilities preferred
- Experience in supervision (preferred)
- Provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, all while checking work at frequent intervals
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents including blue prints, and technical procedures
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from work team, customers, and the general public
- Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast – paced work setting
- Hand eye coordination
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to grasp tools (manual as well as some powered) and use them in accordance with a safe working manner so as to not to injure oneself or fellow employees
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communication
- Must be able to see and understand written communication
- Ability to work independently and with others with little supervision
JOB TYPE: Full-time
Starting Salary: $48,000.00 to $52,000.00 /year (depending on experience)
