Our Valuation & Modeling team provides financial modeling for business planning, transactions, and operational improvements. We conduct valuation for tax purposes, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Additionally, we support audit processes with fair value measurements.
Deloitte's portfolio valuation services undertakes debt valuations for some of the largest global asset managers and financial institutions, advising clients on either standalone transactions or on a periodic basis. As part of our debt valuation work, the team values private debt, structured products, loan portfolios (corporate, residential mortgage, credit card), commercial real estate (CRE) debt and assets, residential mortgage pools, stressed and distressed assets, intercompany trades, and private equity, among other asset classes.
Globally, Deloitte assesses valuations for 26% of the top 50 global asset managers and serves nearly 50% of the top 50 real estate companies by revenue.

Work you'll do
As a Senior Consultant on the portfolio valuation team, you will be responsible for:
- Performing valuation and independent pricing analyses for illiquid assets and complex financial instruments, including corporate credit, term loans, structured and securitized products, private equity, and alternative investments
- Building, reviewing, and refining cash flow and valuation models, including documenting assumptions, limitations, and sensitivity analyses
- Preparing audit-ready valuation documentation and supporting financial reporting valuation needs for derivatives, debt instruments, and employee stock option plans
- Conducting credit and portfolio analysis, validating third-party manager reports and underlying data, and advising clients on valuation implications for regulatory, compliance, and stakeholder needs
- Advising clients on valuation implications for regulatory/compliance and other stakeholder needs, translating technical findings into clear, decision-useful insights
- Reviewing junior staff work, managing day-to-day tasks, and communicating status/risks to the engagement lead

Qualifications Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business (or equivalent)
- 3 years of experience in valuation consulting (business and/or intangible assets)
- 2 years of experience valuing debt, equity, and/or structured securities
- 2 years of experience in credit and/or portfolio analysis
- Demonstrated application of generally accepted valuation approaches (cost, market, income) and common methodologies (e.g., discounted cash flow, guideline public company/transaction, relief from royalty, excess earnings)
- Hands-on experience developing financial models to value common stock, business entities, and/or intangible assets, including financial statement analysis and supportable assumption development
- Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- MBA or Master's degree in Finance
- CFA
- Direct experience with structured/securitized products valuation/pricing (e.g., ABS, CLO, CMBS, RMBS)
- Experience supporting financial reporting valuations and producing audit-ready valuation workpapers
- Experience with tax-related valuations, including purchase price allocation support for tax purposes
- Experience reviewing/authoring valuation reports and client deliverables (reports, exhibits, letters)
- Experience assessing LP fee agreements and/or validating third-party manager reports in an alternatives context

Salary : $113,000 - $188,400
