Deloitte's Strategy and Transactions - Performance Improvement and Restructuring (PI&R) practice helps clients navigate critical business moments and transformational initiatives. We provide end-to-end support and advisory services across performance improvement, cost transformation, turnaround, restructuring, and financial and operational transformation. PI&R works with boards and C-suite executives to develop execution-ready strategies and customized financial and operational solutions that drive structural, enterprise-wide change. The team works closely with clients throughout their transformation journey, helping them navigate financial and operational challenges, improve performance, and implement practical solutions that create lasting impact.

Within PI&R, the Performance & Cost Improvement (P&CI) team helps clients identify, evaluate, and implement enterprise-wide cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities. The team works with clients seeking to improve operating performance, stabilize results, and build long-term value. P&CI supports initiatives including cost reduction, margin improvement, operating and business model transformation, and analytics-enabled performance improvement. Our work focuses on structural, enterprise-wide changes designed to support immediate performance objectives and long-term profitable growth.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Consultant on the Performance & Cost Improvement team, you will be responsible for helping clients evaluate and execute initiatives that improve cost structure, cash flow, and enterprise value.

• Leading small engagements or key workstreams within larger, complex engagements focused on operations improvement, enterprise transformation involving operating model, service delivery model (e.g., shared services / CoE), non-labor optimization, or business process reengineering focused on cost reduction
• Analyze operational, financial, and market data to identify value creation, cost optimization, and performance improvement opportunities across the enterprise
• Support the development of business cases, pricing analyses, and financial models tailored to client objectives
• Plan and support transformation engagements across industries, including coordinating workstreams, managing scope changes, and tracking progress against engagement objectives
• Work with client stakeholders to assess issues, develop strategic recommendations, and prepare deliverables that align to engagement requirements
• Serve as a liaison between business needs and technology-enabled solutions to support implementation and execution
• Contribute to proposal development and other practice-building activities, as requested

PI&R defines and leads enterprise Board and C-Suite agendas for non-distressed, underperforming, and distressed clients to improve margins, operational and financial performance, navigate financial difficulties, and improve cashflow to fund critical transformations.

Within PI&R, the P&CI team helps clients identify, evaluate, and implement enterprise-wide cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities. The team works with clients seeking to improve operating performance, stabilize results, and build long-term value. P&CI supports initiatives including cost reduction, margin improvement, operating and business model transformation, and analytics-enabled performance improvement. Our work focuses on structural, enterprise-wide changes designed to support immediate performance objectives and long-term profitable growth. The practice of 9,000 plus cost transformation practitioners across the globe brings decades of experience spanning a multitude of industries, with deep sector experience. The team is powered by industry-leading assets and accelerators.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• 4 years of experience in management consulting in operations improvement, enterprise transformation involving operating model, service delivery model (e.g., shared services / CoE), non-labor optimization, margin improvement or business process reengineering focused on cost reduction
• 4 years of experience in financial analysis using data from multiple sources to assess value creation opportunities
• 4 years of experience developing models using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Tableau, or similar tools
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

• Advanced degree
• Experience serving corporate and private equity clients
• Experience developing business cases, pricing analyses, or complex financial analyses
• Experience creating executive-level presentations and client deliverables using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio
• Experience supporting proposal development
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, analytics and data visualization tools to support analysis and recommendations

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $128,000 to $252,500.
