Work You’ll Do
a successful candidate:
- Support the implementation of extended detection and response services to enable automated, real-time threat detection, investigation, and response across multiple security layers.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Perform security operations activities to help monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
- Work closely with client stakeholders in a staff augmentation capacity to support day-to-day security operations needs.
- Communicate regularly with the client to provide updates, align on priorities, and address operational needs.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of detection, investigation, and response processes across the security environment.

Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of total cybersecurity or security operations experience.
- 3 years experience with Palo Alto security technologies.
- Hands-on experience deploying or implementing XDR capabilities for threat detection.
- Experience with Palo Alto Cortex XDR, or comparable XDR platforms if approved by the client.
- Experience as a cloud security engineer or in a comparable cloud security role.
- Experience conducting or supporting cybersecurity risk assessments.
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders, including CIO or C-suite audiences.
- Strong communication, executive presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Up to 25% travel
- Ability to successfully complete a background check.
- Ability to work primarily on-site in the Tallahassee area or meet client-specific on-site requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience with TEAGIS, a Secureworks product.
- Experience with vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, frameworks, and reporting practices.
- Palo Alto or other XDR-related certifications.
- Experience with comparable XDR platforms, such as CrowdStrike or SentinelOne.
- Experience with cyber threat hunting, endpoint protection, or security operations center environments.
- Experience supporting public-sector or highly regulated clients.
