Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time (Mon - Fri) Class B CDL driver for rural residential trash routes that include both dumpster and curbside service. Previous experience driving rear load trash trucks preferred, but not required. Candidates should be friendly and comfortable interacting with customers. They should also be able to work independently and in all weather conditions. Candidates must also have some flexibility in scheduling as our schedule varies depending on the route.
Responsibilities
- Operate rear loader trucks for waste collection and delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Safely maneuver flatbed and dump trucks in various environments.
- Load and unload materials while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and collections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding routes and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients.
- Assist with basic mechanical maintenance of vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating rear loader trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with waste management.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety.
