Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to provide administrative and financial support to our client, under the direction of the Controller and Office Administrator. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in various accounting software and a solid understanding of GAAP principles. This role involves maintaining general ledger accounts, reconciling financial statements, and supporting the organization’s financial reporting processes. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of the client's financial data and supporting compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare invoices, monitor payments, record receipts, and process vendor payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and internal financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records, vendor files, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to financial operations, ordering supplies, and maintaining office workflow as needed
- Applies standardized accounting principles and practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
- At least 5 years prior bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, AP/AR, and general ledger maintenance.
- Two years’ experience in accounting using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), creating financial data to create projections and financial reports.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
