We are partnered with a leading crypto hedge fund seeking an exceptional Head of Capital Formation to join their senior leadership team.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal role at one of the most respected names in the crypto industry. You will be responsible for originating and cultivating relationships with prospective investors, driving capital raises across the platform, and leading the firm's Investor Relations function end-to-end.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in capital formation within the crypto space alongside the humility and collaborative instincts needed to build and inspire a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Formation
- Lead fundraising efforts across institutional investors, including pensions, endowments, family offices, and funds of funds
- Develop and execute a comprehensive capital raising strategy aligned with firm growth objectives
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective LPs globally
- Own the full fundraising lifecycle: sourcing, pitching, due diligence, and closing
- Partner with leadership on fund structuring, terms, and product development
Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing LPs
- Deliver consistent, transparent investor communications (quarterly letters, updates, calls)
- Manage investor reporting processes and ensure institutional-quality materials
- Coordinate diligence requests (DDQs, RFPs) and manage data rooms
- Organize investor events, annual meetings, and roadshows
Strategy & Positioning
- Help shape and articulate the firm’s investment strategy and edge in crypto markets
- Translate complex crypto strategies into compelling, investor-friendly narratives
- Monitor market trends and competitor positioning to refine messaging
- Collaborate with PMs and research teams to communicate performance and insights
Marketing & Brand
- Oversee development of pitch decks, marketing materials, and digital presence
- Build thought leadership through content, conferences, and media engagement
- Expand the firm’s network within both traditional finance and crypto ecosystems
Experience
- 8-15 years in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising at a hedge fund, asset manager, or private markets firm
- Demonstrated track record of raising institutional capital (preferably $100M across cycles)
- Strong network across allocators (family offices, endowments, RIAs, etc.)
- Prior exposure to digital assets, crypto funds, or frontier strategies strongly preferred
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
