We're growing and looking for an experienced Loan Officer Assistant to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for a Loan Officer Assistant with prior mortgage industry experience who can hit the ground running. This isn't an entry-level position. We need someone who already understands the mortgage process and can manage the details that keep loans moving from application to closing.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage loan files from application through closing, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
- Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, referral partners, and processors to collect and track required documentation
- Review income, asset, and credit documentation for completeness prior to submission
- Keep loan files organized and on schedule, proactively flagging anything that could delay closing
- Prepare and send approval letters, and other client-facing communications
- Coordinate with processing, underwriting, and closing teams to resolve conditions quickly
- Maintain CRM/pipeline data accurately and keep loan officers updated on file status
- Support marketing and follow-up efforts with past clients and referral partners as needed
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or in a similar mortgage support role is required
- Working knowledge of loan programs (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA) and the mortgage process from application to close
- Familiarity with loan origination systems and standard mortgage documentation and terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple files simultaneously
- Willingness to work in our Creve Coeur, MO office
