Delmar Arts Academy is a private school located in East Fort Lauderdale that integrates academics with the arts. Our students benefit from a well-rounded educational experience that includes visual arts, music, dance, yoga, and creative expression. With average class sizes of only 12–14 students, teachers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and provide individualized instruction.
Position Summary
Delmar Arts Academy is seeking a passionate, caring, energetic, and organized Elementary Teacher for grades K–3. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, enjoys working closely with students and families, and thrives in a collaborative school environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards.
- Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that supports student growth and achievement.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Implement personalized learning strategies to support student success.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school programs and initiatives.
- Participate in school events, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Valid Florida K–6 Teaching Certificate.
- Successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening.
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
Preferred:
- 3 years of teaching experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience in private school settings.
- Interest in arts-integrated education.
