Chemistry - Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support our Process Development team in the Lubricant Additives business unit. The successful candidate will assist with laboratory operations, including synthesis, sample preparation, and shipping coordination, contributing to the development and scale-up of antioxidant and synthetic base oil technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine ester synthesis and support raw material qualification testing.
• Assist with SAP-based shipping processes for internal and external sample distribution.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Prepare and label chemical samples for internal testing and customer evaluation.
• Support data entry, documentation, and inventory management tasks.
• Collaborate with chemists and engineers to execute experimental plans.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Prior laboratory experience required; industrial lab experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with chemical handling, safety protocols, and basic analytical techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (or willingness to learn).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance.
